Winter in Stumm im Zillertal

Skiing, obviously, is a big deal here in our region. The Ziller Valley is recognized as a veritable heaven for skiers and snowboarders. 649 km of piste are equually suitable for both pursuits. Fine slopes and steep descents, in powder snow or on spring firn - here everyone heads downhill.

Skiing from November to the middle of April, and naturally the whole year on The Hintertuxer Glacier.

The closest ski area is "Hochfügen-Hochzillertal"; you can take your car and get there in about 3 minutes, or hop on the ski shuttle, which stops about 150 meters from our house.  A cross-country ski trail also runs right by our house.
